Newtown Square, PA

Dunwoody Village

Sandy Jean-Louis

[email protected]

Dunwoody Village, a five-star ranked and highly regarded Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Newtown Square (Delaware County), is seeking a full time Unit Manager for our Skilled Nursing and Short-Term Rehab units. Those hired will receive a $15,000 sign-on bonus paid within the first year of employment!

All employees are required to submit a negative COVID-19 test and COVID-19 vaccine card prior to their first day of work. This includes applicable booster.

Candidates must be a PA Licensed Registered Nurse (RN). Our Unit Manager is responsible for overall clinical supervision of 1 Long Term Care and 1 Short Term Rehab unit. Key responsibilities for this exempt-level leadership position include the following:

  • Comprehensive onboarding, training, and mentoring of staff

  • Accountable for supervising, auditing and monitoring of above units

  • Ensuring that Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) regulations/guidelines are followed

  • Weekly wound rounds and documentation

This highly visible position partners directly with the Director of Nursing to establish goals and assists with overall management as the designee in the absence of the DON. This is a "hands-on" supervisory position and the candidate may be asked to assist with daily nursing duties as needed. This position will also be required to work an on-call weekend rotation.

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of Skilled/Long Term Care/Short Term Rehab experience with excellent assessment and clinical skills

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in a primarily supervisory role+ strong willingness to hold employees accountable for maintaining the highest levels of nursing professionalism

  • Must be a PA licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current CPR certification

  • Strong working knowledge of DOH Regulations strongly preferred

  • Strong working knowledge of incident reports, CPs, and admission protocols + the ability and desire to ensure that team members are fully knowledgeable in the same.

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently work within a PointClickCare medical records system is strongly preferred.

A position at Dunwoody Village may be just what you’re looking for! Here’s what “THE DUNWOODY DIFFERENCE” means:

  • Dunwoody Village is a not-for-profit independent standalone organization. We are not going to be “acquired” by a managed care organization or a competing CCRC group.

  • Our flexible structure allows us to meet our residents and employee needs much more rapidly and successfully than other organizations.

  • Dunwoody Village is proudly rated as a “5-star facility” by Medicare.gov----our resident care is exceptional due in large part to our talented team members and our reasonable employee to resident staffing ratio! We staff well above the state minimum requirements. Our staff members are the reason for that rating!

  • Our employees have the opportunity to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with the residents on our rehab and Long-Term Care units. These relationships are vital to our success as a reputable care provider.

  • Free Parking! We are also conveniently located on West Chester Pike (Route 3) -- only minutes away from the Blue Route (I-476), PA 252, and Route 1/Baltimore Pike. There is a SEPTA stop in our front yard!

  • Dunwoody offers a very competitive benefits/compensation package. Our benefits program includes medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, company paid short term and long-term disability insurance, company paid life insurance, generous time off benefits, 403b retirement savings plan with company match and discretionary contributions, continuing education opportunities, discounted lunch/dinner plan, and generous bi-annual resident appreciation bonuses.

An employment offer is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-hire process that includes a criminal background check, a drug screen, COVID-19 vaccination with applicable booster and attainment of two favorable professional references. Qualified applicants are invited to apply to this posting with a resume (including salary requirements) or apply directly at www.dunwoody.org/careers.

Due to an anticipated high volume of applicants, we will regrettably only be able to contact qualified applicants selected for interviews.
