Latozas has more than 15 years of experience as an NP across intensive, palliative and acute care. In 2020, she founded Recovery Mobile Clinic with the goal to deliver high-quality medical services to the region’s underserved communities. The clinic increases access to general medical services typically found in a brick-and-mortar office, with a focus on a narcotic-free drug and alcohol addiction program. Latozas and the clinic provide treatment options that have been proven effective in decreasing relapse rates while increasing treatment availability to a population who is largely under-served.
“Thank you so much for considering me and the Recovery Mobile Clinic for this award. We work tirelessly to provide healthcare access, addiction medicine, and preventive care to the underserved in Detroit and the surrounding areas,” says Jordana Latozas, nurse practitioner and President and Founder of Recovery Mobile Clinic. “POCN’s support will not only make healthcare and Medicated Addiction Treatment available, but it will also directly support the patients who need us the most.”
To support Latozas’ work as an NP and advocate for community care, POCN is donating to the Recovery Mobile Clinic’s Patient Recovery Fund that enables patients to receive financial assistance for medication copay or treatments that would otherwise be cost prohibitive. The fund is key to promoting recovery, encouraging change, and saving lives in southeastern Michigan.
“Jordana’s work with the Recovery Mobile Clinic for the people of Detroit is a key example of why she deserves this award. We deeply admire her dedication to increasing treatment availability for underprivileged communities and those in the region without access to medical care. Congratulations from all of us at POCN,” says Richard Zwickel, founder and CEO of POCN.
POCN is now accepting nominations for its first 2023 NP/PA Community Advocacy Award winner. Nominations can be submitted by emailing [email protected] with information about the nominee, their story and cause.

About POCN
POCN, the largest network of NPs and PAs, is a trusted source for over 400,000 NPs/PAs who utilize POCN to connect with their peers, support and shape NP/PA education, stay up to date on the latest healthcare news, find earning opportunities including their next jobs, and access resources to improve patient outcomes. Traditionally, the physician community has received the majority of funding and resourcing, resulting in an underappreciation of the NP/PA community. POCN recognizes the need to advocate, support, and educate NPs and PAs. The organization does this through data and support services. For more information, visit www.pocn.com
